The app is primarily made for 2D motion graphics and video editing using Alight Motion on mobile to make 3D animations very, very easy. However, you can also do 3D effects, if you know and use the features of this app you will see amazing results from my experience. Today I have two years of experience in how to use 3D animation video in Alight Motion and I will tell you Now let’s see How to make 3d Animation video in mobile
1.First let’s see the introduction of Alight Motion
Alight Motion is a mobile app for its powerful 2D animation and motion graphics which is one of the best mobile apps I know on playstore. Although it doesn’t support mobile users like us for 3D animation like the big software, you can still create a range of 3D-like effects by creatively using layers, transforms and effects. About this you will understand if you have used it before. And before I say the same thing, please understand the context of this
2.Now setup your project
- I assume you all have Alight Motion installed
- If you haven’t already downloaded and installed Alight Motion from App Store or Google Play Store then open it
- Here you have to make a new project for which I have given a photo here for you to understand -Now we need to make a new project Open Alight Motion and press the “+” icon.
- Choose the resolution you want. That is, put all the things you need into it and think you understand what size they should be.
- Import Materials
3.Import 2D Elements
- Tap the “+” button and choose “Add Layer” to import images, videos, or graphics that will be used in your animation.
- If you have pre-rendered 3D assets or models, import them as images or video clips. For example, you might use images of 3D models created in another application like Blender.
Step 2: Use Pre-made Assets – Alight Motion offers built-in images and forms. These can be adjusted to produce a pseudo-3D effect.
4.Creating 3D-Like Effects
Step 1: Utilize Layer Transformations
- Positioning: Move layers in the Z-axis to simulate depth. Though Alight Motion does not have a true Z-axis, you can fake it by adjusting the size and position of layers. For instance, objects that are meant to appear further away can be scaled down.
- Rotation:Use the rotation tool to rotate layers and create a perspective effect. For example, rotating an image of a 3D object can give it a dynamic, multi-dimensional appearance.
Step 2: Add Transform Effects – 3D Transformations: Though Alight Motion does not have actual 3D transformation capabilities, you can imitate 3D effects by changing the scale, rotation, and position of layers. For example, rotating a layer slightly and adjusting its size could produce the appearance of depth. – Shadow and Lighting Effects: Adding shadows and altering the lighting helps improve the 3D effect. Use the “Shadow” effect to provide depth and dimension.
Step 3: Creating Depth and Perspective
- Layering: Stack multiple layers and adjust their sizes and positions to create a sense of depth. For example, place a background layer at the bottom, and overlay foreground elements on top.
- Parallax Scrolling: For animations that involve scrolling, use the parallax effect by moving background and foreground layers at different speeds to simulate depth.
5.Animating Your 3D-Like Scene
Step 1: Add Keyframes, also – Position Keyframes: Use keyframes to animate layers as they move across the screen. This can imitate movement along the Z axis. – Scale Keyframes: Change the scale of layers over time to generate zoom-in or zoom-out effects, which improve the 3D illusion.
Step 2: Applying Animated Effects. – Easing: Use easing functions to provide seamless transitions between keyframes. This helps the action appear more natural and flowing. – Motion Blur: Using motion blur can improve the illusion of depth and movement. Use the “Motion Blur” effect to make fast-moving components appear more accurate.
6.Enhancing Your Animation
Step 1: Creating The texture and Overlays. – Textures: Use textures on layers to add detail and improve the 3D impression. For example, a textured surface can make an object appear more realistic. – Overlays: Use overlays such as gradients or patterns to imitate lighting and shading, which enhances the 3D look.
Step 2: Perfect Your Animation – Review: Review your animation several times to ensure that the 3D effect is convincing and the movement appears natural. – Adjustments: Make any necessary changes to keyframes, layer assignments, and effects to complete the animation
7.Exporting Your Animation
To preview your animation, do these
steps: 1. Tap the “Play” button. Check that everything looks as intended and that there are no problems or issues.
Step 2: Export Settings – To access export settings, tap the export icon (a box with an arrow). – Select your preferred video format and resolution. For best results, choose a resolution that fits your project’s specifications, such as a resolution of 1920 pixels.
Step 3: Export the Video: Tap “Export” and wait for the process to finish. The movie will be stored to your device’s gallery or camera roll, ready to share or edit
8.Tips and Tricks
- Explore with Multiple Effects – Experiment with different affects and settings to achieve a 3D-like image.
- Use External Tools: – For extensive 3D capabilities, try using desktop applications like Blender or After Effects and importing the results into Alight Motion for editing.
- Analyze other animations to replicate 3D effects in Alight Motion. This might serve as inspiration and assist you understand how for achieving the desired results.
