How to Edit a Video means taking video clips, combining them, adding sound, adding graphics and effects to make a great video as we like it. To do these we need a good software that supports us well and if you are using a mobile then a good editing app is needed. But now I want to tell you some important things I know about actual video editing.
• What you need for video editing
• Computer or Mobile Phone
– Laptop or desktop should have good graphics and RAM to edit videos properly.
– Apps like Kinemaster, InShot* can be used for editing on the phone.
1. Video Editing Softwares
– Professional Softwares: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve
– For general use: Filmora, Shotcut, VSDC
3. Storage Space: Videos are large files. So having a hard disk or cloud storage is essential.

2. PLAN THE CONTENT
What should be shown in the video means that you must first imagine what to do to make it understandable
For example:
– You must have an idea about the story of the script you are writing
-Determine what clips you need
– Think of templates or even graphics in advance
2. **Have the footage you need ready
– Film the required videos or keep the already recorded footage ready If you want some free clips I will tell you what to do now.
– First take stock footage from websites that I know I use regularly (eg: Pexels, Pixabay) which you can use for free.
Video Editing Techniques
3. Cutting & Trimming
– Keep only the essential parts as per the requirement and remove the other unnecessary parts i mean delete.
– If you use editing techniques like Jump Cut in this sequence, you will see that the video is going very fast.
4. Merging Clips
– Combine multiple short clips into one large video
– This is the first step. I told you only for an understanding. I think you will remember.
5. Let’s talk about transitions
– You have to apply effects like Fade-in, Fade-out, Slide while transitioning from one clip to another clip, this will make your video look very beautiful, but I like these the most.
6. Sound Editing (Audio Editing)
– BACKGROUND MUSIC: Put good music that appeals to the audience and everyone likes it.If you don’t like the music, at least use sound effects to keep the audience from getting bored.
– Voice-over: Even if you give a voice-over, you can also lower the sound of the music
– Noise Removal: You need to find and delete the useless stuff in the audio
7. Let’s see about inserting text & titles
– It’s good to use titles, subtitles** to make clear what the video is about but this is also my favorite I use titles a lot.
– Who came to watch by putting video title, names, captions in the frames
But let me tell you that it will be very useful for all of them to watch for a long time
8. Using Graphics & Effects
– Use it to transform a video into something magical.
– By doing Color Correction & Grading we should use these to make the colors in the video look more attractive without keeping them as they are.

By making the video in a good and understandable way, the viewer can be retained for a long time. Boring ones need to be removed which I will cover in my video.
9. Check the video

Regular Saving
It is mandatory to save the work from time to time while editing. Because you may have to stop in the middle of some work and that’s why I say caution

There are different formats for saving video.
– MP4: Common and supported format
– AVI, MOV: High resolution videos
If you want to see the video you want in the middle then see if you want. If video editing doesn’t work out as expected, I don’t have time to do it but have to come back again. Try because once you do it you will have trouble editing again. So check out this little advice I personally give you once or twice.
11. Downsizing
If you need to compress the file to post videos (eg: via Handbrake app) then I will do this

Video editing is an art. Good videos are made when proper planning, software usage, and your patience come together. It may be a bit difficult at first, but doing so will help you get the hang of editing. I can tell you that if you keep learning new technologies with time, your content will attract more people.
